This is the 50th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that often delve into the darker sometimes more sinister side of professional wrestling. Many of these stories involve sex, greed, deceit and in some cases…even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series…we never condone or condemn the alleged participants and/or victims.
Hammerin’ Home His Views
Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine created quite the stir when in an interview…he gave his views on women’s wrestling and women in MMA. First of all, Valentine referred to women’s wrestling as “girl wrestling” and expanded on the topic even further by saying…
“As far as girl wrestling, I would send them all out to the strip bar and fire ’em…I’d fire every girl wrestler I ever saw. They don’t draw any money, they have horrible matches. They’re terrible. That’s the way I feel.
They take away jobs from men that need to support their families. They should be home washing dishes and cooking and pregnant and barefoot. I love women…but they gotta realize their place. They’re not supposed to be wrestlers. They’re not supposed to be MMA fighters or boxers. It’s bulls**t.”
Independent pro wrestler from Ohio…Jonathan James Cboins aka ‘Jonboy’ was arrested in July of 2015 on charges of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The accuser is a 14 year old girl who alleges the incident took place after a wrestling show in Middletown, Ohio.
This apparently isn’t the first time that Cboins has been accused of such behavior. Roughly 3 years earlier, Cboins was accused of groping an 18 year old female at a wrestling show…but no charges came out of that alleged incident. If Cboins who is 28…is convicted of this recent crime…he is facing a maximum of ten years in prison.
Playing with Dynamite
The tumultuous life of the Dynamite Kid Tom Billington has been well documented in books and interviews. He was extremely violent and abusive to his ex wife Michelle (Who just so happens to be the sister of Bret Hart’s ex wife Julie.) There was a time Billington took an unloaded shotgun and put it under the chin of Michelle threatening to kill her. To this day, Billington feels that the incident wasn’t violent because the gun wasn’t loaded and he didn’t shoot her.
His ex Michelle readily admits that she contemplated suicide and not only killing herself, but killing her two small children as well…just so they wouldn’t be harmed by her husband. Michelle recalls her breaking point came when she used the last $3,000 in their account and bought Tom a one way ticket back to England. Tom was so incensed, he broke her jaw and threatened to kill her right then and there unless she went to her sisters house in the next 15 minutes. Michelle did leave to go to her sister’s home and never returned.
Ain’t No Fixin’ These Vixxxens
In 2001, Missy Hyatt got a group of her female wrestling friends which included Tammy Sytch, Kristi Myst, Rayn, Tracii Taylor and Extasy and started an adult pay site called “Wrestling Vixxxens.com” It was the first opportunity for wrestling fans who ever fantasized about what wrestling valets like Sunny and Missy Hyatt looked like nude could finally live out that fantasy.
The real selling point for the pay site was the nudes of Sytch and Hyatt. According to Missy during a Q & A session on the site, she owned the website and her cousin was the webmaster. Tammy Sytch admitted that her and Missy at one point were such close friends..they were like sisters. That is until Tammy allegedly never got paid for the work she did on the site. Sytch claims the webmaster told her that Hyatt took all the money for herself. Missy claims that she was never paid either.
According to Sytch, the final straw between her and Missy occurred when she woke up from a nap and allegedly saw Missy and a friend smoking crack cocaine in the same room as her. The two inseparable friends, have since seemingly become bitter enemies with some finger pointing blame and name calling as well.
Jesus Alejandro Leal Flores was a part time luchador nicknamed ‘Imagen III’ in Mexico…but his other job was that of a drug king pin of a powerful Mexican drug cartel. Flores was at one time one of the FBI’s Most wanted criminals. During a lucha libre show in Texas in 2013, the FBI raided the building and arrested 6 luchadores believing one of them to be Flores. It was a case of mistaken identity as another luchador named ‘Imagen I’ was competing on the show. Imagen I claimed to have no connection to Flores and/or his drug empire.
In 2014, Flores was finally captured by Mexican authorities in the Mexican city named Reynosa. His capture led to a wild gun fight between members of Flores’ cartel and authorities that killed one Mexican Federal agent.
