It’s that time again as we look back at This Week in Wrestling. In this edition, Brian flies solo and discusses the forthcoming judgment on the company’s future and also shares some of the most interesting pictures and videos he’s stumbled upon this week.

This coming Monday just may be a very big day in the history of professional wrestling. No, I am not referring to Monday Night Raw’s Halloween episode…I am talking about the fate of TNA. You see, a judge stated that Monday, October 31st, a judgment will be made on who exactly owns the struggling wrestling company.

Without boring you with a lot of legal mumbo jumbo, basically, if Dixie Carter wins, she gains control of TNA and can sell it off to whomever she wishes. (The WWE reportedly was interested in their video library.) It would also most likely mean the end of Billy Corgan in TNA.

If Billy Corgan wins, he gains control of the promotion and can run it how he sees fit and Dixie will be responsible for all of TNA’s outstanding debt…which is a LOT. Thus, ending Dixie Carter’s run as TNA owner. From the sound of it, it makes more sense for Corgan to win the court case and rebrand TNA wrestling into whatever vision he has for the company.

Dixie Carter seems to have been running TNA as some sort of con game. She has convinced several people to invest money into a sinking ship for years. If she wins, the very fate of hundreds of jobs and the very existence of Total Nonstop Action may come to an unfortunate end.

Here’s hoping that Monday is the ‘Greatest day I’ve ever known’ for Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan.
