Wrestling with Sin: 109

Brian Damage

This is the 109th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Lord I was Born a Gambling Man!

The late Ronald P. Gossett the fourth was a manager who worked such promotions as the CWA and the USWA in Memphis. While there are many who look back at Gossett with fondness, there are also those who don’t exactly have the best memories of the portly manager. Some have gone as far as to call him a con man who would bilk money from many of his friends and co-workers to fuel his affinity for gambling.

Gossett allegedly would ask people for money that would be repaid on a later date and never did repay them. One such individual was Jerry Jarrett who loaned Gossett thousands of dollars and was never repaid. That caused a horrible rift between the former friends.

Gossett also allegedly conned a potential investor to buy half of Nick Gulas’ Tennessee territory. Gossett claimed to the investor that he owned a 50% stake in the promotion and sold it to the unnamed investor. In reality, Gossett owned zero percent of Gulas’ territory.

The Truck Stops Here!

Larry Finnegan was “enhancement” talent for the WWF in the 1980’s. Away from the WWF, Finnegan wrestled under the nickname of the ‘Crusher.’ After his wrestling career was over, Finnegan found work as a truck driver. In 1989, while on the road in Connecticut, Finnegan picked up a prostitute named Hazel Koppel.

Finnegan paid her $50 dollars to have sex with him in the cab of his truck. During the course of sex, it was alleged that Koppel began biting Finnegan. That it when Finnegan began choking Koppel and stabbed her. Hazel Koppel would die from her wounds and Finnegan was later arrested. He would plead guilty to manslaughter and serve 12 years in prison.

Colby Jacked Sleaze

The son of wrestler/commentator/trainer Steve corino, second generation wrestler Colby Corino was hospitalized and eventually arrested in December of 2016. Reportedly, police were called to Colby’s apartment where they found him unresponsive. Upon further investigation, a number of drugs and drug paraphernalia was discovered in the home.

Some of the drugs found allegedly included heroin and steroids. After Corino was released from the hospital, he was arrested on drug charges and bail was set at 40 thousand dollars.

Every Rose Has Its Porn

Back in 2015, a fan in attendance at NXT Takeover in Brooklyn, New York snapped a pic of a female fan holding a rather outrageous sign. The pic went viral and made this female fan somewhat of an internet celebrity.

The female holding the sign is named Felicia Rose and she has made her sex life an open book. She is extremely open and honest about her sexuality and admits she would have sex with any and all single NXT wrestlers. With her new found notoriety, Felicia Rose is now selling her own merchandise which includes shirts and apparently a sex tape.

Baby Mama Drama

NXT trainee and former All-American amateur wrestler Terrance “T-Bone” Jean-Jacques was arrested on multiple charges in October of 2016. The charges included assault and battery, kidnapping, witness intimidation, destruction of property and threatening to commit a crime. It all stems from an alleged argument Jean Jacques had with his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

It is alleged that Jean-Jacques hit his ex-girlfriend Jillian Gilman and sat on her to prevent her from leaving her apartment. Jean-Jacques issued a statement on his Facebook page:

The WWE has suspended Jean-Jacques indefinitely until his fate is determined by the court. If he is found guilty, not only will he face jail time, but also be released from the WWE as per their corporate policy.

What Sid Did

Sid Eudy aka Sid Vicious aka Sid Justice aka Psycho Sid was driving in the Memphis, Tennessee area in 2011 when a police officer noticed that he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. When police pulled him over, Eudy did not have a valid drivers license. The officer also noticed a bag of marijuana sitting on the arm rest.

Eudy was arrested and charged with marijuana possession, driving without a license, and not wearing a seat belt. He was released on a $1,000 bond. Considering that it was just a small amount of marijuana, Eudy was given a fine and no jail time was required.

This wasn’t the first time Sid was arrested for marijuana possession. In 2006, Sid was arrested in Texas for possession of about 2 ounces of Marijuana.
