This is the 1112th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
Haruhi Know Who I am?
Moeka Haruhi is a former Japanese model turned pro wrestler who wrestled all over the Japanese indie circuits. In 2009, a man named Naoki Kobayashi, a member of her official fan club, showed up at a meet and greet. After taking pictures, Kobayashi demanded to touch her breasts, Haruhi refused and subsequently had the man thrown out of the building.
That led Naoki Kobayashi to lose his mind and what followed for a couple of years was Kobayashi sending over 500 threatening emails to Haruhi. Since Haruhi never responded to any of his emails, Kobayashi began threatening to kill her her on various social media sites. Haruhi was able to get an order of protection from the obsessed fan, That did not stop him from showing up at one of the events she was wrestling at. He was spotted and arrested for violating the order of protection in 2011.
He Sleeps with the Fish–erman’s Suplex
Lenny Montana was a pro wrestler who mainly competed in the territories during the 1950’s through the 1960’s. He won several titles including the AWA world tag team titles with Hard Boiled Haggerty. His moniker during his wrestling days was ‘The Zebra Kid.’ If the name Lenny Montana sounds familiar, you may be a fan of his other work.
Lenny Montana was also an actor whose biggest role was that of “Luca Brasi” in the 1972 film ‘The Godfather.’ Aside from his work in pro wrestling and in Hollywood, Montana also worked as a real life enforcer/bodyguard for the Colombo crime family in New York. Montana would be sent by the mafia to “send a message” to whoever needed it. While it is unknown if Montana actually killed anybody, he did admit to setting places on fire.
One thing that he did was tie a tampon to the tale of a rat and light the tampon on fire and set it free in an establishment burning it down. Montana would be arrested for several mob-related crimes in his life and even served time on Riker’s Island.
Why So Moody?
The date was March 12th, 1979, the territory was in Laurel, Mississippi and manager Percy Pringle III (real name William Moody)was managing the Mongolians. After a match, an overzealous fan threw a chair hitting Pringle on the side of the head. Percy was able to see the culprit and went over to the fan and hit him with his walking cane over the fan’s head.
The fan’s head split open and became a bloody mess. Both Percy Pringle and the fan pressed charges against one another and both were booked and arrested and booked. The case was eventually thrown out of court.

Huracan Castillo Sr. was a huge star wrestling in the Puerto Rican territory during the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was the father of Hurricane Castillo Jr. most notably known as a member of Los Boricuas in the WWF. In the late 1980’s, Castillo Sr. was held up in a robbery attempt and shot. He survived the gunshot wound but was paralyzed from the waist down.

Kristal Marshall and Bobby Lashley met and fell in love while both were appearing in the WWE in 2007. They both left the company and joined TNA wrestling in 2009. Together they had two children, a son named Myles and a daughter named Naomi. By 2010, Marshall confirmed on her Twitter account that the two had split amicably.
She tweeted: “Hello everyone Bobby and I have split, but remain great friends. He is a constant in our son’s life and a tremendous father.”
That was then but in October of 2012, Marshall and Lashley’s friendly relationship took a turn for the worse….
Marshall tweeted: Taking pictures with ur kids and posting them doesn’t make u a good dad. Pay child support. Would be a good start.
Basically, Kristal Marshall accused Lashley of skipping child support payments for their two children. No word if they were able to come to some sort of agreement or if the courts were forced to get involved.
Wrestler/promoter Ian Rotten is no stranger to controversy. There are several wrestlers and promoters who have their own horror stories dealing with Rotten. Whether it was not paying wrestlers money they were owed wrestling on one of his shows or being extra stiff on opponents he didn’t like. Rotten has been linked to many different scandals.
One such scandal occurred at a funeral of all places. His former friend/protege/enemy JC Bailey died of a brain aneurysm at 28 years old. Many believed it was from the constant chair shots Bailey took to his head during his career. Rotten showed up at Bailey’s funeral despite JC Bailey’s mother against it. Bailey’s father and fellow wrestling promoter Joe Bailey allowed him to pay his respects.
Despite the tension over Rotten’s appearance at the funeral home, it boiled over with hostility when Rotten asked Joe Bailey’s sister in law for gas money to get home. Rotten was subsequently kicked out of the funeral home with some wrestlers saying that Rotten made a big commotion while leaving. In an interview conducted in 2011, Ian Rotten admitted to selling pain pills to JC Bailey on one of his wrestling shows. JC was a recovering addict and many believed helped in Bailey’s downward spiral before his death.
