Wrestling With Sin: 336

Brian Damage

This is the 336th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Flair Up

Current AEW star Jon Moxley recalled his time in WWE as Dean Ambrose and hanging out with ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. According to Moxley, the two were hanging out with each other at an airport bar and the two began drinking cocktails. Moxley remembered how cool it was to be drinking with a legend like Flair who he grew up watching on television as a kid. During the course of the evening, Flair’s drinking started getting out of hand.

Flair was downing double Bloody Mary’s and in the process became completely intoxicated. Flair got loud and out of control and airport security was called. Flair was arrested at the bar and started blaming Moxley for getting handcuffed and arrested inside the airport. Moxley was feeling star struck and couldn’t believe one of his childhood idols were being arrested due to drinking with him. Flair and Moxley apparently had no heat with one another after the incident.

Dux For Cover

Canadian independent wrestler ‘The White Russian’ Anton Alexiev accused journeyman wrestler Tyson Dux of having an affair with his former girlfriend. Alexiev claimed that the incident happened in 2018/2019. Tyson Dux wrestled for over 24 years and has appeared in both WWE and Impact wrestling. According to Alexiev, he used to bring his then girlfriend with him to his matches. Dux spotted the girlfriend and apparently took an immediate interest in her.

Dux allegedly began flirting with with Anton’s girlfriend in front of him. When Anton Alexiev suffered an injury during a match, Dux allegedly reached out to his girlfriend…instead of Alexiev himself. Over the next few weeks, Alexiev claims that Dux and his girlfriend started sending intimate texts to one another which included nude pics. He discovered his girlfriend having the affair and despite this….Dux would greet him before shows as if nothing was going on.

Alexiev says all this was going on while Dux would conduct interviews talking lovingly about his wife and family and how he was able to maintain a marriage while being a pro wrestler. As of this writing, Dux has not responded against these allegations made by Alexiev.

Led By The Nose

In June of 1990 in Columbia, South Carolina during a WCW event…The Midnight Express were defending their United States tag team titles against Brian Pillman and Tom Zenk. Towards the end of the match, Pillman accidentally hit manager Jim Cornette in the nose trying to put him in a sleeper hold. As Cornette’s nose began to bleed, he was able to get out of the ring and grabbed the Midnight’s titles to bring backstage. While Cornette was walking towards the backstage area, a fan punched him in the back of his head.

Angered, Cornette took his tennis racket and hit the fan with it. Seeing the fan not being fazed, Cornette repeated struck the fan over the head with the racket. According to ‘Sweet’ Stan Lane, it looked like Jim Cornette was committing an ax murder on the fan. When Cornette finally got to the back, he was informed that the fan who hit him was mentally slow. As police arrived to question Cornette on the incident, the son of South Carolina’s then governor (Who was a big wrestling fan) came to the back to say that the fan struck Cornette first.

Cornette showed the police his bloody nose as proof that he was punched by the fan….even though his bloody nose was actually caused by Brian Pillman. The police let Cornette go without an arrest…but the incident made the local news. That caused WCW head Jim Herd to send Cornette a letter of warning that despite being hit first, there was no excuse for Cornette’s retaliation.

Shooting Blank

Mary Blank….the younger sister of former WWE Diva Barbie ‘Kelly Kelly’ Blank was the victim of a cell phone hack. Several private pics of Mary in the nude were uploaded to the internet without her knowledge or consent. No word of who was responsible for the hack.
