Whatever Happened to Trinity?

Brian Damage

She was a stunt actor turned valet turned professional wrestler. She has worked for both TNA and WWE. Today on the blog, we ask…’Whatever happened to Trinity?

Trinity was a stunt actor who was trained to be a professional wrestler by ECW’s Mikey Whipwreck among other trainers. She made her pro debut in 2002 and competed on several independent promotions in the northeast. Around the same time, she got her first big break by getting a try out with TNA wrestling. She was initially used as a valet/manager…but slowly morphed into a role as an active wrestler for the upstart company.

She was a member of a heel faction called The NYC (The New York Connection) along with Glenn Gilbertti, Vito LoGrasso, and Johnny Swinger. Trinity was the very first woman in TNA history to challenge for a male championship. She wrestled against Kid Kash and Amazing Red for the X Division title. She was one of the pioneers who helped lay the foundation for TNA’s Knockouts division.

Trinity left TNA in 2005 and received a tryout with the WWE. She was signed to a developmental contract and assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) Her main feud down in OVW was against Beth Phoenix. She remained in OVW until June of 2006. She was then called to the main roster and assigned to WWE’s version of ECW.

Trinity became the manager of the Full Blooded Italians which consisted of Little Guido, Tony Mamaluke and Big Guido. Trinity was an extremely agile wrestler who was known for her speed and ability to do moonsaults and hurricanranas. It was that agility that cost her weeks of her career as she injured her knee in a match after attempting a moonsault. She was ultimately released from WWE in 2007.

After her WWE release, Trinity wrestled sporadically for the next few years. She eventually retired for good in 2013. So whatever happened to Trinity? She has refocused her attention on her stunt double work under her real name of Stephanie Finochio and has been in such shows as Gotham and Happy, as well as such films as Sex and the City and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. She has also done video game stunts on Red Dead Redemption II. Aside from her stunt work, she also is a health and wellness coach that resides in Long Island, New York.

  1. Glad to see everything worked out for her and she survived the business where so many others unfortunately did not. Damn good for her.
