Love is in the Flair: The Many Loves Of ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair

Stylin’ and profilin’ has been the credo of the former 16 time world heavyweight champion Ric Flair. It isn’t just for what he has accomplished inside the squared circle, but the lifestyle he chose for himself outside of it. There have been many women who have been in and out of Flair’s life. Some for a couple of hours and others for a few years. No doubt, many females have taken a ride on ‘Space Mountain.’ When it comes to marriages, Flair’s exes are starting to give his world title reigns a run for their money.

The wedding vows of “I do” get replaced with “I don’t” often with the Nature Boy. In total, Ric Flair has been married five times and divorced five times. It has produced four children from two separate women…so there is that. Many of his marriages have been tied to domestic violence, infidelity and neglect. Let’s look back at the many loves of Flair and why all of them fell apart at one point or another.

Wife #1 – Leslie Goodman

Leslie Goodman and Ric Flair married in 1971 and produced two children Megan and David. The couple were married before Flair’s wrestling career started. They divorced in 1983 and Leslie has since remarried.

Wife #2 – Elizabeth Harrell

Elizabeth Harrell was Flair’s longest marital relationship, as they stayed together for over 23 years starting in 1983. Their marriage produced two more children…Ashley and Reid. The couple divorced in 2006 with both citing infidelity. Harrell also accused Ric of physical and mental abuse with Ric parading around with a mistress.

Wife #3 – Tiffany Vandermark

Tiffany Vandermark was a fitness instructor who married Flair in 2006. Their marriage only lasted three years with Flair accusing Vandermark of hitting him in the face with a phone charger. The couple’s relationship was also severely strained by Flair’s ongoing financial troubles. Their divorce was finalized in 2009.

Wife #4 – Jackie Beems

Jackie Beems and Flair were married in 2009 and was another tumultuous relationship. Flair had Beems arrested in 2010 after allegedly beating Flair leaving him bloodied and bruised. The charges were eventually dropped due to “lack of evidence.” Her lawyers cited that Flair was involved in numerous extramarital affairs during their marriage to which Flair denied the accusations. The couple divorced in 2012.

Wife #5 – Wendy Barlow

He and his latest wife Wendy Barlow were married in 2018 and although not divorced yet, have announced that they are now separated. Barlow and Flair initially met each other in WCW in 1993, when Barlow acted as Flair’s valet named Fifi.

This relationship appears to be an amicable split with Flair tweeting…

As the old saying goes…and it just might apply to Ric Flair….’Lucky in life, unlucky in love.’ Here’s hoping for all the best to Ric and Wendy in their lives away from each other. For Flair, there is another old saying that should probably not apply to him…’If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.’ Maybe, Ric should just remain single and live the rest of his life single. Then again, you never know when cupid strikes…again.
