It is time for yet another round of useless wrestling facts, stats, trivia and miscellaneous nonsense. You may learn a thing or two after reading this post…or you may lose some valuable brain cells. Some of these you might have heard of already or maybe not. In either case, it is time to regurgitate these facts for your reading pleasure. Let us learn a little….hopefully.

‘Sensational’ Sherri Martel wrote four chapters of a book on her life and career in pro wrestling when she tragically died of an overdose in 2007. The book was never completed and never released to the public.
Marc Mero aka Johnny B Bad in WCW, filmed a TV Pilot in 1992 entitled ‘The Main Event.’ In the pilot, Mero’s father was portrayed by ‘Little’ Richard. The show was not picked up to a series.
Jimmy Yun aka Jimmy Wang Yang….wrestled for WCW, WWE, TNA, Ring of Honor, MLW and various indie groups…never won a championship in his 23 year career.
Bryan Danielson’s first ever word spoken on WWE television was “Yes.”
Hacksaw Jim Duggan is the only undefeated WCW World Television Champion. Duggan held the title from November of 1999 until the title was deactivated in February of 2000.
Rhea Ripley is the only woman to hold the NXT UK, NXT, RAW and Women’s World Tag team titles. She is also the first ever Australian female to win a singles title in WWE.
This version of the WWF World Title only lasted a week in 1986. The champion Hulk Hogan complained the belt was uncomfortable to wear and it was immediately replaced.

Wrestler/Promoter and father of both Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo…Angelo Poffo set a world record for doing 6,033 consecutive sit ups in a span of 4 hours and 10 minutes. He achieved this accomplishment on July 4, 1945.
In 2004, Kenzo Suzuki was given the gimmick named ‘Hirohito.’ Suzuki was supposed to portray the grandson of Emperor Hirohito who ruled Japan from 1926 until 1989. WWE ran one promo before the idea was scrapped.
AJ Styles WWE run has lasted longer than the Rock’s full time run with the company.
The East Coast Wrestling Association based in Newark, Delaware is currently the longest running independent promotion in the United States having been established in 1967.
Hulk Hogan was pinned twice at Wrestlemania…once at Wrestlemania 6 (The Ultimate Warrior) and again at Wrestlemania 18 (The Rock). Both pin fall losses took place at the Toronto Skydome.

The least famous of the legendary Guerrero family…Mando Guerrero was the innovator of the moonsault in the 1970’s. Helater retired to become a Hollywood stunt coordinator and worked with the original GLOW promotions to train their wrestlers. Years later, his nephew Chavo Jr would work on the GLOW TV series that was based on the original 1980’s promotion.
Bianca Belair is only the second black wrestler to win a Royal Rumble. The first ever was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
The longest world title reign of any kind in Japan, is held by Kenta Kobashi who held the GHC title (Pro Wrestling NOAH) for 735 days between 2003 and 2005. The record stands to this day.
