In the past, we have looked at how many celebrities in Hollywood, music and sports are secret or even “outed” as pro wrestling fans. In some cases, these celebrity fans hook up with wrestling personalities. Some times it works out and other times it fizzles out. Today’s top five looks at some of these celebrity and pro wrestling hook ups over the years.
The Macho Man has been involved in many memorable feuds throughout his illustrious career. Opponents with names like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat and Diamond Dallas Page are just a few that lit the wrestling world on fire. A combination of Savage’s intensity on promos and the fast paced wrestling style he could deliver, helped make many of his matches sensational. With all the wrestlers Savage had competed against, there was one that Savage fought hard not to get in the ring with.

Make no mistake about it, pro wrestling does have a dark side to it. There are hundreds upon hundreds of stories about the dark and sometimes sinister side as chronicled in my ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. This piece is a direct opposite of that. With every bad story I have shared…there are also positive stories. Stories of wrestlers making it above and beyond the ring. Positive stories to inspire. Pro wrestlers aren’t all drug addicts, scam artists and carny sideshows. They all don’t die at an early age, or are broke and need to wrestle till they die. They don’t necessarily have to get into acting like The Rock or Batista. They don’t have to necessarily switch over to MMA like Brock Lesnar or CM Punk. Some of these stories are just about hard work, dreaming big and doing whatever it takes to succeed. We’ve already covered some stories as chronicled in part 1, part 2 , part 3 part 4part 5 , part 6 and part 7. With that said, let’s look at some positives…

After a 30 year career filled with ups, downs, scandals, world titles and other major achievements, ‘The Game’ ‘The King of Kings’ Triple H has retired from active in ring competition. He was forced to retire due to serious medical issues involving his heart. Even though he may not have retired the way he envisioned, no doubt he had a great career. Love him or hate him…Triple H was the face of WWE and later NXT for many years. Today, we look back at how Paul Levesque became wrestling royalty.
Stylin’ and profilin’ has been the credo of the former 16 time world heavyweight champion Ric Flair. It isn’t just for what he has accomplished inside the squared circle, but the lifestyle he chose for himself outside of it. There have been many women who have been in and out of Flair’s life. Some for a couple of hours and others for a few years. No doubt, many females have taken a ride on ‘Space Mountain.’ When it comes to marriages, Flair’s exes are starting to give his world title reigns a run for their money.
TJ Wilson aka Tyson Kidd was a WWE superstar that was trained by the legendary Hart Family. A pro wrestler for the majority of his life, Kidd was just blossoming as a star in WWE, when an accident in the ring ended his career and almost ended his life.
