Former WWE star Rikishi has taken to Twitter to bemoan the lack of opportunity to perform on WWE TV at the recent legends Smackdown. You can read his musings here…

Rumours are that HHH is not done as an in-ring performer and will continue to wrestle from time to time but on a more limited schedule.

In other ‘Wrestlers on Twitter’ news, Scott Steiner is still angrily ranting away on the social media platform. It’s mostly focussed at Abyss and Garrett Bischoff this time https://twitter.com/#!/scottsteiner

Scott Hall’s Lawyers told TMZ that he did no choke out his girlfriend and she didn’t want to press charges against him.

According to wwedvdnews.com the new Undertaker streak DVD will feature all 20 Wrestlemania matches in their entirety. It’s only fair to point out that a large number of his matches fall into the dud category.

Chikara have announced another iPPV which will feature blog favourite Cold Cobana. You can pre-order it here…

Scott Hall, one time member of NWO and formerly Razor Ramon, was arrested yesterday allegedly for domestic abuse.

Mick Foley will perform at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He’s only doing four dates and promised, via twitter, to announce more details soon.

Have the Bella Twins left the WWE? There are conflicting reports circulating the web that they have either already left or have been given notice.

In TNA news, they have signed a new deal with Spike TV which is an extension for a further two years.

Al Snow has added talent relations to his work as a TNA agent.

Scott Steiner has turned his anger to Rick Flair on Twitter. “Bischoff had a ringside meeting at tv tapings and praised flair for being a 2x HOF”er… Guys were like wtf what a MARK he does know the HOF is a work right? They see a drunk who doesnt own a car a house and cant [sic] pay his electic bill for his apartment” He’s a very entertaining man to follow @scottsteiner

Wrestling round-up 5 April 2012

Brock Lesnar has been added to the list of stars appearing at Extreme Rules, which takes place April 29th in Chicago, Illinois. He’s been added to the Raw roster and is advertised for the Raw taping in Detroit, Michigan on April 23rd.

Another Evan Bourne injury update, this time from the man himself, he took to twitter to say: “Followed-up with the surgeon today. X-rays show every bone is back in it’s[sic] proper place. Recovery won’t be fast but I’ll heal & fly again!”

Also taking to twitter to discuss an injury is Drew McIntyre, who injured his shoulder at ‘mania: “Yes the shoulder was hurt, was I stopping? HELL NO!! I am a WRESTLER and it was Wrestlemania. You’d have to kill me then I’d still get up.”

Mick Foley has reviewed Edge’s DVD ‘The Story of Edge’ with the only criticism being their match from Wrestlemania 22 isn’t included. You can read the review here.

Could Chris Jericho’s tour dates with Fozzy interfere with his WWE schedule? He’s advertised as touring the UK between the 6th and 11th of June this summer.

In TNA news, The Lethal Lockdown match at TNA Lockdown will be a Team Garett Bischoff v Team Eric Bischoff match. Teamh Garett will be Garett himself, Austin Aries, AJ Styles, Ken Anderson and Rob Van Dam, facing off against Team Eric which is Bully Ray, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Gunner and a mystery partner. The stipulation for the match is that if Eric’s team loses, he’s out of TNA.

Wrestling round-up 4 April 2012

Chief Jay Strongbow has passed away yesterday aged 83. The former WWE superstar was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Gorilla Monsoon in 1994. Bret Hart led the tributes by saying “Chief Jay Strongbow helped me as much, if not more, than anyone else in my career. It truly saddens me 2 see the wrestling world lose 1 of its great contributors. He was the star of most of my locker room drawings…but he will always be Chief to all the boys who knew him. A big loss!”

Dean Ambrose wrestled in his second dark match of the week and defeated Ezekiel Jackson.

It was announced on Smackdown that Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos from the film The Three Stooges will appear on Raw next week. The film opens next week in the states.

Bret Hart has taken to twitter to berate the WWE for their decision to have Daniel Bryan job in 18 secs “Very glad the fans were vocal in their displeasure of one of the best wrestlers on the roster being jobbed out in 18 seconds”

Continuing with Twitter, Epico has voiced his disappointment that the tag team title match was on the Wrestlemania pre-show and not the actual event: “And since when is Flo-rida, MGK and that menounos chick relevant to a wrestlemania????” Quite right.

William Regal has been added to the WWE Smackdown tour of the UK and Ireland.

This week’s Raw scored a 3.43 rating and was the first to get over 5 million viewers since the Raw after the Royal Rumble. The figures are down slightly on last year’s post Wrestlemania Raw which drew a 3.82 rating and 5.6 million viewers.

In TNA news: Rob Van Dam returns to TNA TV with the tapings this week.

AJ Styles has joked online about about Daniel Bryan’s 18-second match and his own amount of TV time. When someone told Styles that he would have eighteen-second matches if he went to WWE, Styles tweeted: “yeah, I think I had about 18 seconds total for the past 2 weeks of impact. Just saying”

Wrestling round-up 3 April 2012

The big story of the day is that Brock Lesnar returned to the WWE, and Raw, last night. Seems he is gunning for Cena. Also at Raw, Lord Tensai, of Albert fame, made his in ring debut.

In a blog post, Dr. Lance Silverman goes into detail on the injury that Evan Bourne suffered. You can read it here. The jist is that it is a midfoot fracture dislocation, or a LisFranc fracture dislocation. He notes that it is a career-threatening injury and that even if Bourne does come back, “one thing is certain – it’s going to be a long road to recovery.”

Dean Ambrose defeated JTG in a dark match at last night’s raw. Ambrose is highly regarded and no doubt will soon make the step up to performining on WWE TV.

Seems Scott Steiner may be worth following on twitter judging by recent posts where he put the boot into TNA “Can somebody send tna’s booking team of pritchard hogan & bischoff video’s from ring ka king..booking hogan in a sex tape wont help ratings..what an embarassment to TNA & spike tv. More bad news for former WWE star Kamala, his son Kamala Jr has admitted that he may have to have his right foot amputated. Last year the Ugandan giant had part of his left foot removed.

Bit of a Hall of Fame special to start with, Arn Anderson has said that he isn’t worthy enough on his own for an entry into the Hall of Fame and Edge has said he was surprised to go in so early more…

Kevin Nash was interviewed for the Sun newspaper and when asked about HHH ending the ‘taker’s streak, he said:

“If the WWE did have HHH end the Streak, what’s the bragging point since it took him three tries? There’s no bragging point, and it doesn’t do anything for business…It wouldn’t be good for business at all. It’d be like, yeah HHH ended it, but it took him three tries…Big deal. How does that impact the business to the good side?”

WWE Officials felt it “beneath” Alberto Del Rio to appear in the 12 man tag at Wrestlemania hence why he isn’t performing. Word is he’ll be in a feud with Randy Orton when he returns to a full-time schedule.

WWE Hall of Famer Ricky ‘the Dragon’ Steamboat has recently given his thoughts on what stars are ready to make the jump from FCW to WWE. They include: Seth Rollins, Bo Rotundo, Husky Harrisand Antonio Cesaro.

Wrestling round-up 28 March 2012

Christian was pulled from the Wrestlemania match due to his previous foot injury having not cleared up enough.

WWE and TNA have come to an agreement that will allow Ric Flair to appear at the Hall of Fame. The problems seemed to revolve around his appearance at Wrestlemania and on TV etc, not the Hall of Fame itself.

Sticking with the Hall of Fame, Jack Roberts has given his thoughts on not being inducted yet…

Former WWE creative team member Seth Mates has suggested that HHH may be behind some of the backstage resentment towards the Rock.

In TNA news, Chris Sabin is cleared to return to the ring and the James Storm music video will debut this week on Impact.

Really interesting interview with Alex Greenfield, who used to write for Smackdown, and was told not to pitch Randy Savage for the Hall of Fame. You can read more here…
