The Way We Was: 1996 Week 37

There’s only one story on everybody’s lips in 1996 and it concerns events from last Saturday. Yes, pay per view boxing fans are outraged that Mike Tyson destroyed Bruce Seldon within two minutes of round one. I jest, because the actual big story on this week 20 years ago was the shooting of Tupac Shakur, who attended the Tyson bout. The actor/rapper extraordinaire died six days later in hospital. Despite the incident taking place on Las Vegas Boulevard just minutes after a Mike Tyson fight the police managed to arrest absolutely nobody.
