David Von Erich was the chosen one in the Von Erich clan. The one who was groomed to become the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion. The NWA title was the holy grail to Von Erich patriarch Fritz Von Erich. Fritz, a former AWA world champion during his career…wanted desperately for his son David to follow in his footsteps and become NWA world champion.
