Top Five Role Players in Wrestling

Brian Damage

When watching a movie or TV show, there are the stars aka lead actors and actresses that the said movies and television shows are mainly focused on. While they get the majority of the attention, the supporting actors and actresses play a very vital role in helping the story move along and in some cases, actually steal the show with their breakout performances. Sure, they don’t always get the accolades of being “the star,” but are just as important in their roles. The same can be said of many pro wrestlers in the business. Brian Damage

This is the 443rd installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Top Five King Of The Ring Runner Ups

Brian Damage

In years past, the King of the Ring tournament used to be a premiere event for the WWE. The winner of the tourney was usually dubbed by upper management as a future star with the company and after winning the event…would get a huge push. Stars were made from the likes of Owen Hart, Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Triple H and many others via winning King of the Ring. There have been other winners, that were not as successful and to be honest, perhaps the wrestler the eventual winners faced in the finals, were better suited to win the actual tournament. Today’s Top Five, looks at some of the runner ups that could have benefited more if they had won instead.
