Wrestling With Sin: 260

Brian Damage

This is the 260th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Pissing Money Away

In the early stages of his career, former Ring of Honor, New Japan and current Impact wrestling star Michael Elgin was wrestling on the Canadian independent circuit. While traveling to a show, a drunken Elgin made a 100 dollar bet with another wrestler that he could urinate on a woman in the heat of passion. After the show was over, Elgin met a married woman and her cousin and invited them both to his hotel. The two women agreed and followed Elgin to where he was staying.

Michael Elgin wound up having a threesome with the married woman and her cousin. His roommate…fellow wrestler ‘Tarantula Gomez’ walked in on the trio. Tarantula joined in on the sexcapade and now the two wrestlers were having sex with the two female fans. Gomez forgot to shut the door to their room and a bunch of wrestlers including Monty Brown and Eric Young walked in and started watching. Elgin decided this was the perfect time to win his 100 dollar bet and took one of the woman to the bathroom.

Elgin proceeded to ask the woman to let him pee on her and she said no. According to Elgin himself, he wouldn’t take no for an answer and eventually persuaded the woman to allow it. He videotaped the deed in question as proof. Elgin wound up getting paid, once the woman admitted to the act.

I Can’t Bear it Anymore!

Former WWWF world champion ‘The Russian Bear’ Ivan Koloff was an admitted alcoholic and drug addict during his wrestling career. Ivan began doing drugs like muscle relaxers and pain pills after he injured his shoulder in a match against Bruno Sammartino. When the pills weren’t enough to deal with his pain, Koloff dabbled with Marijuana and ultimately cocaine. Koloff says when things were at its worst, he spent roughly $1,600 a week to satisfy his cocaine habit.

He was once on a flight and was high from his drug use and began antagonizing the Iron Sheik. Sheik eventually snapped and attacked Koloff while the plane was 20,000 feet in the air. The Iron Sheik bit Koloff on his neck like a vampire leaving a permanent scar. Koloff finally got himself clean and sober after driving home drunk from a wedding reception and crashing his car into a utility pole.

Naked Ambition

At the height of her popularity in wrestling, Missy Hyatt attempted to get herself in the pages of the adult men’s magazine known as Playboy. It was 1990 and Missy actually had a nude photo shoot with the once popular magazine. Here photos were never selected by the magazine’s publisher Hugh Hefner and were all but forgotten about.

Her test shots were recently discovered and started floating around the internet. Keep in mind, Missy Hyatt since posed nude several times for her old website known as ‘Wrestling Vixxxens.’ The only difference between those nudes and the ones from her Playboy test shoot are the Playboy pics were before enhanced plastic surgery.

Ride or Die

Takeshi Morishima was once a big star in Japanese wrestling. He was trained by the legendary Mitsuharu Misawa and was a former three time Pro Wrestling Noah GHC Heavyweight champion. Morishima would also find success in the United States and was a former Ring of Honor world champion. He even had a tryout with the WWE back in 2008, but was never signed.

Morishima would be forced to retire from wrestling after being diagnosed with Diabetes. In November of 2018, Takeshi Morishima was arrested in Japan after assaulting a taxi driver. According to reports, Takeshi Morishima took a cab ride that cost 18,000 Yen, which is roughly 170 dollars in US currency. Morishima and the cab driver argued over the fare and that is when the former wrestler punched the driver in the face.

The driver suffered two broken cheekbones and Morishima was arrested. Later, Morishima admitted to the assault saying that, “there is no mistake there was a conflict.” It was also reported that when Morishima was a wrestling star, he would often take expensive taxi rides to the arenas and have the young wrestling trainees pay out of their own pockets for his fares.

  1. after pills didn’t work he dabbled with marijuana. That of course being the well known heroin then marijuana drug escalation. 40 years using drugs in a multitude of states , thats a first for me. Weed simply does not kill pain. Certainly not like heroin (script opiates are just heroin , shit Bayer has the patent on heroin even)

    • Where did it say heroin, jackass? If you read “pills” and thought of heroin then that’s on you and your ignorance of how drugs work.

The point is prescription pills stopped working so he dipped his toe in to the world of illegal drugs and ended up using cocaine.

And for the record, weed absolutely helps with pain management. I’ve known several people with chronic pain conditions who use it to get through the day and nothing else works as well for them.
